East Hants Community Learning Board of Directors
The East Hants Community Learning Association (EHCLA) Board of Directors believe in a stronger, connected community and through individualized programming we are opening the doors to education and transportation, helping create a more prosperous, and proud community.
With a hands-on learning approach, and the availability of transportation, we are empowering individuals to live with a sense of freedom and confidence. Everyone has the right to actively participate in their own lives and through our support we can help you live yours.
Understanding the educational needs of our community enables us to develop programming and offer opportunities for you to gain your GED, upgrade essential skills and get creative with learning. Parents, grandparents and neighbours are often a child’s first teacher, at EHCLA we support and encourage individual growth, helping your family reach their learning potential.
EHCLA and EHCR are invested in the community and people of East Hants.
The East Hants Community Learning Association started in 2004 and has been delivering NSSAL’s Adult Learning Program in East Hants since then. Our Board of Directors is made up of ten fantastic volunteers. A great cross-section of East Hants Community Service Providers, RCMP, private industry, and concerned residents. The Board meets monthly to discuss program delivery and participation, plan for new programs and ensure the financial stability of the organization.
