East Hants Community Learning Association

The East Hants Community Learning is a registered charity,  a non-profit organization dedicated to offering a range of educational services to residents of East Hants, making learning accessible.

  • Work towards a GED qualification
  • Develop essential skills for home, workplace, and community
  • Take part in inter-generational learning, special interest classes

Please explore our site and discover the programs and services we have to offer. We offer programs to improve literacy skills, upgrading skills, GED prep programs.  We also offer other programs in our community such as Family Literacy, Senior Safety and the Skills to Work Program.

Tuition and books are FREE in our Levels classes. We have continuous intake — you can start any time!  Under some circumstances, we can offer reduced-cost transportation to help you get to class.

The East Hants Community Learning Association (EHCLA) is  governed by a Board of Directors, made up of 10 Directors, who meet monthly to discuss the strategic direction of the organization, and ensure that the activities of the organization continue to meet our vision..

Gaining the education skills we need to be successful is very important, but it is sometimes very hard to find the needed time, money, and support. The great news is that the East Hants Community Learning Association (EHCLA) is here to help you meet your goals!
